Bertie’s diary entry

Monday 20th November 2017

Dear Diary,

Today was the worst day of my life, but it got better because I reseeved a mysterious letter from my loving, caring mother. It said she is missing me so much and is looking forward for me to be coming home.

When I went back into the filthy, old shoe room Basher, who was the bully, put yucky, sticky shoe polish in my hair. It was as black as the night sky.

Later that day, we did a spelling test with Mr Carter our teacher. But I didn’t do very well , I got one out of ten. So Mr Carter made me put the heaviest book on my head and told me to stand in the dusty, old carner. I felt worried because I didn’t know what was going to happen…

Excellent diary entry, you have included expanded noun phrases and a relative pronoun. Next we will look at using brackets in our writing.
    Miss Smith:)
